Summer Movies in the Park: Encanto
Date / Time: Fridays in June, 7:30 PM
Location: Alabama Constitution Hall Park
Summer Movies in the Park, presented by Meta, will be hosted at Constitution Hall Park. Each night will have themed entertainment prior to the movie showing. Piper and Leaf will be open for movie-goers to purchase tea, coffee, and other awesome products! Plus, a themed food vendor will be at each showing!
Wally Vess Youth Fishing Rodeo

Cosmic Christ Mosaic Celebration

Join First Baptist Church Huntsville for a FREE event celebrating the completion of the restoration of the Cosmic Christ mosaic. Held in front of the mosaic, the mini-festival on Saturday will feature local artists, free lunch, face painting, inflatables, and tours of the historic sanctuary.

Cigar Box Guitar Festival

Did you know that Huntsville is proud to continue its reign as the home of the world’s longest-running Cigar Box Guitar Festival? This free event features music and children’s activities outdoors at Lowe Mill Arts & Entertainment with proceeds benefitting the Microwave Dave Music Education Foundation and Arts Huntsville’s North Alabama Arts Education Collaborative.
United: A City-Wide Worship Event
Time: June 5 @ 6:00 PM
Location: Orion Amphitheater
United: A City-Wide Worship Event welcomes all to join on Pentecost Sunday for a gathering of worship, integrated with moments of prayer and spoken word by Lo The Poet. The North Alabama Pastors United for Change is a collective of non-partisan leaders united by faith across racial and denominational lines.
Concerts in the Park
Date / Time: Mondays at 7PM from June 6-Aug 8
Location: Big Spring Park
Concerts in the Park returns to Huntsville Museum of Art’s outdoor stage in Big Spring International Park on Monday, June 6. The concerts are FREE to the public, and local food trucks and vendors will be onsite, offering a diverse array of local tastes.
Friday Night Art Walk

Flag Day Concert

Location: Latham United Methodist Church
The Huntsville Concert Band invites the public for an evening of Americana and patriotic music by Huntsville’s original community band. Explore Downtown Madison on 3rd Thursdays! There will be pop-up vendors and food trucks as well as many downtown businesses staying open late. From June – August, there will also be live music.
Free Movies at the Park: Encanto
Time: June 17 7:30 PM
Location: The Village of Providence
Come out to the Village of Providence and enjoy a movie on the area’s largest outdoor screen. Movies will start at sundown.
Pesky Piranha Youth Triathlon

Pesky Piranha Youth Triathlon is a youth reverse triathlon (run, bike, swim) with distances short enough for a beginner to try it out, and for more experienced multi-sport athletes to test their speed!
Father’s Day Train Ride

Ben Rector: The Joy of Music

Nashville based singer-songwriter Ben Rector (and father of 2) is bringing his Joy of Music tour to Huntsville and this is one concert we think the whole family will love.
Athens Kiddie Carnival

Location: Athens Lions Club Kiddie Carnival
A carnival just for kids? Yes, you heard us right and it is NOT TO BE MISSED. Seriously, read our RCM review and you’ll be lining up. Tokens to ride are just $ .50 each and all monies go to local charities. A North Alabama tradition that needs to become your family’s summer tradition.
Hellen Keller Festival
Dates: June 23-26
Location: Downtown Tuscumbia
The annual Helen Keller Festival, one of the largest festivals in North Alabama, begins on Thursday with a parade at 6PM in downtown Tuscumbia. This festival pays tribute to America’s “First Lady of Courage” with four days of more than 100 activities including an outdoor marketplace, Keller Kids educational activities, and various musical artists performing evening concerts. Be sure to bring lawn chairs! Note that coolers, alcohol, and dogs are not permitted inside Spring Park. Parking is very limited; take one of the free festival shuttle buses!

Location: Lake Guntersville State Park
Lake Guntersville invites people of all ages to an extreme summer event where the fastest boats today race on an oval course at speeds of 200 mph. Enjoy two days of competitive racing as well as entertainment on land including a kid’s area, sponsors giveaways, food vendors and interactive activities provided by the US Army.
