On your mark, get set, go! The Black Friday and Cyber Monday travel sales (and sales) are about to get in full swing. Actually, some have already started, and the savings are quite substantial for those willing to plan future cruise vacations now.
This year has been a busy one for cruise lines as they name new ships, add more amenities and welcome back travelers to the high seas. If you are ready to plan a cruise trip in the new year, this weekend is the time to do it.
“Greatest deal ever,” 2nd person sails free on Norwegian
A month-long Black Friday Sale, dubbed the “Greatest Deal Ever,” gives travelers the chance to bring a second person along on a cruise for free. Available through Dec. 5, the deal is available on any of Norwegian’s ships, including its latest launch, Norwegian Prima. The offer can be paired with the company’s “Free at Sea” promotion that includes an open bar, free specialty dining and shore excursions, comped WiFi and buy-one-get-one-free airfare to the cruise.
75% off the second guest for Celebrity Cruises
Celebrity Cruises has a buy one, get one special for Black Friday offering a 75% discount for the second guest on almost all sailings (except in the Galapagos) through April 2025. Also part of the deal is a $200 onboard credit for sailings of 10 nights or longer (shorter sailings receive credits of $50-100). This includes trips aboard the line’s newest class of ships Celebrity Edge, Apex and Beyond. The promotion is available for bookings made through Dec. 1.
$5,000+ in savings from Emerald Cruises
Travelers can save up to $5,000 on river cruises and up to $6,800 on yacht cruises, per couple between Nov. 23 and Nov. 30. The promotional offer is available on select 2023 Europe and Southeast Asia river cruises, including the always-popular Christmas Market sailings. Royal Caribbean Black Friday/Cyber Week promotions
Save as much as $600 as well as 30% off every guest with these Royal Caribbean Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. In addition, kids sail free piling on additional savings. These offers are available for travel between now and 2024, but there are a few blackout dates during certain periods of the year. The cruise line has also hinted that there may be additional extensions of the offers so keep checking back.
Save up to 50% with Hurtigruten
On its Norwegian coastal itineraries and expedition voyages, Hurtigruten customers can save up to 50% on sailings next year and into early 2024 with this Black Friday deal. Among the many destinations eligible for this offer are Antarctica, Alaska, Greenland, the Galapagos Islands and Iceland. The promotion is available on the cruise company’s website through the end of the month.
“Thankful for travel offer” with Windstar Cruises
The offer comes with the chance to choose a special perk when making a reservation for future travel by Nov. 29. These include a free hotel stay before or after a cruise plus hotel transfers, as much as $100 in onboard credit, or for higher-end cabins and suite guests, a package that includes Wi-Fi, drinks and gratuities.
20% off American Queen Voyages + free airfare
Popular with those who want to explore the rivers and lakes of the US, American Queen travelers can save as much as 20% off a cruise next year. Use code BLACK FRIDAY for reservations made by Dec. 2 on select voyages. Also part of the deal is the ability to receive free domestic airfare from 49 US and Canadian airports.
15% off Star Clippers sailings
As part of its Black Friday and Cyber Monday promotion, travelers can take 15% off on select sailings between now and Dec. 15. The offer is valid on its tall sailing ships, Star Flyer and Star Clipper, for travel through 2024. Eligible sailings include itineraries in Central America as well as the Caribbean and Mediterranean Seas.
“12 Days of Christmas” of cruise deals from Uniworld
For 12 days, starting on Cyber Monday, Uniworld Boutique River Cruises will launch a new deal or promotion across different ships and 15 itineraries around the world. The rare deals are available online, but will be limited in availability so interested cruisers should act quickly. Among the deals include free roundtrip airfare, cabin upgrades, post-trip extensions and as much as 50% off the sailing.
Save $3,000 on average per suite on Seabourn cruises
Travelers can take advantage of special Black Friday deals to save as much as 15% on Seabourn sailings through summer 2024. From the Arctic to the Caribbean and all seven continents, included on the list are trips on Seabourn’s new expedition ship as well as itineraries around the world. The promotion will last through Dec. 5. with available sailings on the company’s website.
Onboard perks with MSC Cruises + up to 40% off
Between now and Nov. 25, future cruisers can take advantage of free onboard amenities and up to 40% off sailings around the world including in the Caribbean, around Florida, Bermuda, Canada and New England. On the other side of the world, the offer also works for sailings in the United Arab Emirates, Mediterranean, Northern Europe, and the MSC Grand Voyages cruise. Free drinks and onboard WiFi are just the start with the opportunity to receive as much as a $200 onboard credit and up to 40% off the cost of the cruise depending on the sailing.
Oceania’s 2-for-1 deal, free airfare plus shore excursions
As part of a Black Friday sale, Oceania’s OLife Choice program is offering a buy for one, get one free cruise deal plus free economy class airfare. Also part of the deal is the option to choose between free shore excursions, a beverage package, shipboard credit or free onboard gratuity (up to $500). Most 2023 and 2024 cruises qualify for the offer, including the line’s new solo staterooms on all 650-guest, R-class ships.
$1,000 credit or upgrade on Azamara cruise sailings
Two offers are available for 2023 cruisers. Score a major onboard credit of $1,000 when booking a European Azamara cruise. Or take advantage of a double stateroom upgrade on more than 100 itineraries around the world. This means you can book a balcony cabin for the price of an interior room. The onboard credit can be used at the spa, for special dining reservations and shore excursions among other things. Buy one, get one 50% off on Virgin Voyages
Virgin Voyages cruises can take advantage of a buy one, get one 50% off deal between now and Dec. 6 on sailings through April 2023. If you book an inside or balcony cabin, there’s a $100 bar bonus when buying $400 of credit (or as the cruise line calls it, “loot). Solo travelers will not have to pay the single supplement as part of this deal, either.
Save 25% on Ecoventura Galapagos Islands cruise
