Want to do something different? Try a nighttime adventure with the family. We found five fun things to do after dark.

Fall Lantern Walk – Have you ever wanted to explore Connetquot River State Park Preserve after dark? Now is your chance! Enjoy the crisp fall air during a night-themed walk, with the ambiance of lanterns! Family programs are appropriate for ages 5+. $4 per person upon arrival. Reservations are required for all programs. Space is limited. Please try to arrive 10 minutes early. When: Friday, September 23, 2022, 7:30-9pm. Firepit Fridays at The Adventure Park on Long Island – Friday night climbs now come with a campfire. Head down to The Adventure Park for Firepit Fridays and get cozy by the fire after your climb. Firepit Friday tickets include up to 2 hours of climbing and a 30 minute safety briefing. When: Fridays through November 4, 2022. Luau on the Beach – Discover an aloha paradise at the annual luau on the beach in Bayville. Features hula dancers and fire dancers. When: Wednesday, September 14, 2022, 6-10pm. Where: The Crescent Beach Club, 333 Bayville Avenue, Bayville.

Glow in the Park at The Adventure Park on Long Island – Get ready to experience the exciting courses at The Adventure Park in a cool and alternative way. The evening Glow in the Park events allow you to zipline through trees lit up by glow attire, colored lights, music and more. Glow in the Park is a nighttime event where our outdoor adventure park literally glows. Brightly-shining LED lights illuminate your way while you zipline, work the ropes and traverse through the treetops. And you have toe-tapping music to keep your adrenaline flowing. Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze: Long Island – Long Island’s most electrifying fall event. Walk the immersive pumpkin trail on the grounds of a 19th-century village. See more than 7,000 hand-carved jack o’lanterns, all carved by our team of artisans. Find your favorite legendary local icon in our Hall of Fame, gaze in wonder at the Pumpkin Planetarium, see larger-than-life sea creatures and watch your head as an animated Headless Horseman rides into the night.
