Mediation at the heart of culture

A new work of cultural mediation has begun in Mèze with the recent arrival of Christine Goby to the position of artistic director of the culture and heritage service. Throughout the season, different actions will be offered to sensitize the public to cultural programming.

Le 7 octobre, onze ados de l’espace jeunes met Stéphanie Binon de la Cie Laurelle et Landie before their presentation. She answered the many questions of young people about the work of creation and addressed the question of handicap in the world of spectacle. The company Laurelle et Landie is a hybrid company in art vivant and handicap, located in Mèze and which has been given for the purpose of “promouvoir une ode à la différence et à l’acceptance”. She was born from the meeting of Stef Binon (great comedienne) and Amélie Zaroukian (comedienne and metteuse en scène sur pieds). Ensemble, sur scène, elles abordent la sensitization à la différence et au handicap, au sens large, avec humor et authentique.

“We wish to give access to the largest number of patrimony and artistic creation. It is important to create a link between the public and the numerous cultural events proposed by the city of Mèze”, explains Philippe Curé, adjunct à la Culture.
