Reporting to the President & CEO, the Senior Vice President (SVP) People & Culture has the important mandate to develop and drive the enterprise people strategies that support exceptional business and employee performance and well-being. Helping OLGers grow and embrace the five truths is at the heart of the strategies developed from the People and Culture Division. The SVP People & Culture will be a key member of the executive leadership team and have the opportunity to empower great change, strengthen organizational culture and leadership across OLG.

To support this important mandate the SVP People & Culture leads a team of experienced HR professionals in the following functions: HR Business Partnering, HR Operations, Organization Design, Talent Acquisition and Employee Programs, Rewards, Wellness and HR Systems and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.

The ideal candidate should have demonstrated senior leadership and seasoned experience in managing complex business and people issues, and dealings with government, boards, regulators, and executives. They should have an expert level understanding of human resources management in the public sector as well as familiarity with health and safety protocols related to pandemic management. Expertise in the development of compensation and total rewards frameworks in Ontario public sector context, as well as previous experience in governance functions and understanding culture in a highly regulated environment will be important for successfully driving change. Additionally, they should have strong strategic and conceptual thinking, and complex stakeholder relationship management skills along with an inclusive, collaborative, and transparent approach.
