Technology firm Travelport is offering NDC-based content from Australian airline Qantas to TMCs and travel agencies across Europe.
Travelport said that customers in 52 countries across the EMEA and APAC regions, including nearly 30 markets in Europe, would now have access to Qantas’ NDC fares and products through the Qantas Distribution Platform, which can be accessed via Travelport+.
Qantas announced in August that it would introduce lower fares for domestic flights via its own distribution platform. These prices will now be available through Travelport’s channels.
TMCs using Travelport platforms will be able to book meals and make disability special service requests. They will also have the ability to select a seat by the end of January 2023.
Igor Kwiatkowski, Qantas’ executive manager global sales and distribution, said: “We are delighted that Travelport is making the Qantas Distribution Platform accessible for more travel retailers around the world.”
Damian Hickey, global vice president and global head of airline partners at Travelport, added: “As we continue to expand and deliver simplified access to Qantas NDC content to even more of our agency customers across APAC and EMEA, we are further accelerating our multi- sourced content strategy with Travelport+.”
